Dongayla Dobson, President & Founder
Hi, I'm Dongayla Dobson! I wanted to take a moment to personally welcome you to SASS, a safe space where survivors of sexual assault can find support, understanding, and a community of people who have gone through similar experiences.
The inspiration behind creating SASS is deeply personal to me. Back in February 2024, I went on a girls' trip and unfortunately became a victim of sexual assault. This experience was incredibly challenging, but it also sparked a journey of healing and self-discovery. I recently started participating in pageants, which has been transformative, helping me regain my voice, confidence, and sense of self.
With this renewed strength and determination, I founded SASS to help other survivors navigate their paths to recovery. I believe that together, we can build a supportive and empowering community where we can share our stories, offer each other strength, and reclaim our lives.
Thank you for being a part of SASS. Your presence here is invaluable, and I look forward to connecting with each one of you. Please feel free to reach out if you need support or just want to talk.
With Love,
Dongayla Dobson, President

Rosa Mejia, Vice President
Hi everyone!
My name is Rosa and I am very proud to be a board member of SASS. From a very young age, I experienced sexual assault including many times into adulthood. I am very grateful to able to be a part of this amazing organization because I want to be able to help others who have gone through what I've been through. I love that we can provide resources and support for survivors of sexual assault because I unfortunately did not have that after going through those experiences and was even too afraid to talk about it until I became an adult and had children of my own. I want to be able to help as many people as I can through sharing my story, offering support through their healing journeys, and raising awareness about sexual violence.
I want to let you know that you have a voice and that you are STRONG AND BEAUTIFUL!
And you are not alone
With love and support -
Rosa Mejia, Vice President

Brenna Turpin, Secretary
Howdy everyone!
My name is Brenna Turpin, and I’m proud to serve as a board member of SASS. Alongside being a hardworking woman, I’ve spent the last 11 years working in an extremely male-dominated industry. To say I’ve experienced sexual assault during that time would be a massive understatement. For years, I was met with silence, dismissal, and blame. Instead of being heard, I was labeled a “troublemaker”. Not because I did anything wrong, but because speaking up was inconvenient for those in power. I was treated as an afterthought, when what I needed — and deserved — was support, safety, and justice. That’s why being a part of this incredible organization means the world to me. Through SASS, I now have the opportunity to help others navigate their healing journey, advocate for safer workplaces, and create change where it's long overdue. I’m passionate about the work we do from offering vital resources, to walking alongside survivors in their journey, to simply being a place where someone finally hears: "You matter."
When I share my story, it’s not just for me, it’s for every person who’s ever felt unseen, unheard, or dismissed.
To every survivor out there:
You are so loved, We see you. Your strength, your beauty, and your voice should never be silenced. Stay strong. Speak up. And never back down from standing up for YOU.
With so much love from the bottom of my heart,
-Brenna Gail Turpin, Secretary

Celess Parson, Treasurer
Howdy y’all!
My name is Celess Cearria Parson- a small town girl, just like many of you. As a strong advocate for sexual assault- we start at a place no one wants to be: broken, quiet, aching of pain through out our bodies because we aren’t strong enough to pick up the pieces and “ move on”. As a new member of SASS, our mission is to help anyone and everyone feel like they are never alone.
That they do have a voice; a loud one.
That they do have a choice; to help others who have been victimized.
That they do have a strong community for support; us- SASS.
I am honored and beyond blessed to use my voice to help those who feel as if they have no vocals left. In order to have change you have to BE the change.
With all the love I have to give,
Celess Cearria Parson, Treasurer

Emily Henderson, Fundraising Board Chair
Hello everyone!
My name is Emily Henderson, and I am honored to be a board member for SASS. For many years, I have kept my experience as a sexual assault survivor to myself.
I truly understand what it feels like to bear pain in silence.
For countless individuals who have faced sexual assault, the journey often begins in an unwanted place: feeling broken, silenced, and struggling to piece everything back together. I’ve walked that path, and I know how burdensome it can be.That’s why being a part of SASS holds such significance for me. This isn’t merely a group—it’s a family. A safe haven where survivors can support one another, rediscover their voices, and remember that they are never alone.
To anyone who feels overlooked, I want you to hear this: your story is important. Your voice carries strength. And healing doesn’t have to be a solitary journey—we can navigate it together.
I am truly privileged to stand alongside you, to listen, and to amplify your voice until you reclaim it. Because real transformation begins in those moments when we choose to uplift one another.
With all my love,
Emily Henderson- Fundraising Board Chair
